Publisher:Konami Developer: Konami Release: Nov 08, 2001 Genre: Adventure/Horror The spring 2001 Tokyo Game Show, featured this puppy for the first time in public. Silent Hill 2 was only in video form but it still got the attention of many on lookers passing by the Konami booth. Going into E3 this year, we found out that Silent Hill 2 would be hitting the X-Box wide open AND (this is big...) it will be a launch title! Yeah thats right, it will hit stores in Japan and The U.S. on there respected launch dates. The Xbox version of Silent Hill 2 is being developed using an entirely new engine that will be optimized specifically for the console. The brief video clip showed at TGS had the game's lead character, James, speaking with several NPCs, including one of the game's lead female characters, Claire. Interspersed within these conversational scenes were the now familiar sequences that showed a partially decapitated nurse. Plus all the action seqences displayed some excellent music to fit the gothic mood of the game. The voice over shown in the videos at TGS and E3 were top notch and could be the best among the latest crop of survival horror titles to hit the market recently.
