For those lucky enough to view this title in
Sega's private booth at E3, Jet Set Future was
said to be a really amasing game to behold. While
the game was only 10% complete, Jet Set Future
displayed some amasing graphic detailed effects
to show each characters likeness along with the
excellent background. The Xbox has apparently
been very good to the franchise. Each character
has had an overhaul of effects hosted by jagged
speed-lines that now color their movements, and
full-screen motion blurs are used to emphasize
particularly intense moments and the particle
effects used in the grinds have been sufficiently
altered, looking sharper and fuller. Smilebit did
an excellent job on recreating all stages in a
wonderful 3D layout that can only lead to much
greater and more interactive environments.
The actual video shown at E3 looked alot
similar to the first stage in Jet Grind Radio. It
was a very simliar scene at the bus depot, but
with the new 3D layout and redesigned characters.
The fist three characters shown were Beat(the
first games main character)who was wearing a
different shirt than in the first, Then there was
Gum, the lady friend of Beat in the first game.
She was wearing a slim tan dress and she now
carries a more mature grownup look to her figure.
The third person shown was what appeared to be a
redesigned version of Tab. He wore a rather large
funky looking hat and his trade mark light blue
colors.
A Smilebit rep stated that Jet Set Future was
going to be a totally different experience from
the first. He went on to add that the trick
system will supposedly be beefed up, allowing for
multiplayer combos and gravity-defying grinds.
Both cooperative and competitive multiplayer
modes will exist in the game, but no major
details of either mode was given just yet....
Be sure to check back here
often as for I plan to keep adding pictures and
more information on Jet Set Future soon!
